Dadurch und in Verbindung mit der Drosselbohrung wird erreicht, dass Druckschwingungen im Leitungssystem zwischen Einspritzpumpe und Einspritzventil nach Förderende schnell abgebaut werden, so dass keine Nachspritzer auftreten und dass ferner ein ausreichend grosser Standdruck im Leitungssystem gehalten wird, der verhindert, dass Abgase in das Einspritzsystem gelangen.
